Meet Karen
Karen Sims found pickleball in 2021 after retirement as a way to exercise and be social. What she found was a fun, addicting sport that has an amazing community.
Amazing friendships have been built from the pickleball courts. Karen has played in several tournaments and attended clinics, but you will mostly find her on the courts in the morning, playing and laughing with her friends.
She created this “Fun Zone” to share the tools and tips that make the game even more enjoyable for her squad and the wider pickleball community.
“I spent my career writing code and my retirement writing history. Pickleball is where I go to clear my head, meet my friends, and remember that even the best stories need a little time away from the desk.”
